Rylan Gleave selected for the PRS Foundation New Music Biennial 2025
News Story
Our artist development programme Modulate exists to offer a wide range of career development opportunities to our musicians and composers who identify as D/deaf, neurodivergent and disabled.
Our ambition is to support artists to thrive, not just as professional musicians, but as confident, independent creators. That’s why we are delighted to announce that Paraorchestra member Rylan Gleave - under his moniker All Men Unto Me - has been selected for the PRS Foundation New Music Biennial 2025.
Rylan Gleave
Rylan is a composer and vocalist based in Leith, working in experimental and divergent fields. One of our former Musicians in Residence, Rylan serves on our board of trustees and his orchestral commission Straylight premiered as part of The Anatomy of the Orchestra: Drone Refractions in 2024.
All Men Unto Me
All Men Unto Me’s upcoming album, Requiem, explores trans-masculinity, patriarchal power, Evangelical Christianity, forgiveness, and queer reverence, drawing on doom metal influences, and the timbres of Rylan’s late-breaking voice. A bold re-orchestration of raw album tracks from Requiem, brought to life by Paraorchestra and a stellar cast of collaborators, will premiere this summer with performances in London and Bradford as part of New Music Biennial.
The live show will showcase Tobias Holmbeck’s projected visualisers and Frankie Mulholland’s costume design and makeup artistry. Joined by collaborators Neil Charles on bass guitar, Stuart Brown on drums, Simone Seales on cello, Oliver Vibrans on electronics, and Requiem producer Scott McLean on guitar, Rylan as vocalist leads All Men Unto Me in a new, alternative live direction.
Modulate and the Alumni Fund
We are excited to be supporting Rylan through Modulate and its Alumni Fund for the festival dates in Bradford and London, as well as the upcoming R&D days which will explore the reimagination of church organ for synths and samples, transforming a mammoth sound world into an electric live interaction.
