Produced by Paraorchestra in collaboration with Surgeons Girl, Charles Hazlewood, and Limbic Cinema, this extraordinary experience has been specially commissioned by Bristol Beacon in celebration of their opening night.
On Thursday 30 November, Paraorchestra, Bristol-based electronic music luminary Surgeons Girl and Charles Hazlewood will create electro-orchestral alchemy with a dynamic visual response from AV experts Limbic Cinema for this landmark event.
In a unique collaborative compositional process, synthesized compositions by Surgeons Girl are transformed into orchestral parts for Paraorchestra musicians by ‘responding composer’ Oliver Vibrans.
Celebrated AV and immersive video experts Limbic Cinema create a breathtaking visual response to the piece, illuminating the newly-transformed main hall and launching this new era for Bristol Beacon.
The show also includes a new commission from Paraorchestra composer Xia Leon Sloane: Prelude to a Beginning, a sensual and spatial opener which will exploit and showcase to the full the Beacon’s astonishing natural acoustic.
