How we recruit musicians

We are not currently recruiting for new musicians or composers.

We do not have a rolling programme of recruitment for new musicians. On average we run an open call every two years where we welcome applications from professional-standard (but not necessarily professional) musicians who identify as d/Deaf, disabled and/ or neurodivergent.

We recognise that applying to be in an orchestra can be long-winded, taking time and effort. The initial application we have is kept as simple and accessible as possible. If applicants are invited to interview we cover access costs and pay a day rate for their time.

Our last open call was completed in Spring 2024. We advertise the callout in our newsletter, and we also promote it across our social media and ask our partners and other bodies to help spread the word.
