Bahrain 200 was the 2016 year-long celebration of the 200th anniversary of diplomatic and cultural relations between the UK and Bahrain. With British Council’s support, six members of the British Paraorchestra travelled to Manama in April 2016 to deliver a programme of workshops and performances.

During their visit, the musicians performed a mixed repertoire of contemporary and classical group and solo pieces at the Shaikh Embrahim Centre for Culture and Research, completed a workshop for pupils at St Christopher’s School in Manama and performed as part of a VIP celebration to mark the anniversary.

The ensemble featured Oliver Cross (Harmonica), Lloyd Coleman (Clarinet), Tom Doughty (Lap steel Guitar), Paul Holzherr (Guitar), Adrian Lee (Guitar), Steph West (Harp).
