Talks and workshops

Each and every member of Paraorchestra is a brilliant creative with a story to tell, and our programme of peer-led discussions celebrates this. We run regular talks in which ensemble members are invited (and paid) to share learnings, challenges and insights from recent projects or performances.

We also enlist the expertise of industry leaders to help demystify the business side of being a professional musician. Recent sessions have covered topics such as creating an access rider and effective fundraising.

Musician funds

Learning doesn’t just happen in the abstract. Our musicians can take advantage of the Go & See Fund that subsidises travel and tickets to experience cutting-edge live performance, and can utilise a separate Software Fund to enhance and develop their music-making digitally.
